Summary The longest of the 18 Parvas, the Aranyaka Parva narrates the Pandavas' 12-year exile in the wilderness. During this period, they encounter divine sages, acquire celestial weapons, and hear stories within stories — including the famous tales of Nala and Damayanti, Savitri and Satyavan, and Rama's exile. Arjuna travels to heaven to obtain divine weapons from Indra. The Pandavas grow in wisdom, strength, and resolve during their exile, preparing for the challenges ahead....
